World Federation of Public Health Associations

The World Federation of Public Health Associations (WFPHA) is an international, nongovernmental, multi-professional and civil society organization bringing together public health professionals interested and active in safeguarding and promoting the public’s health through professional exchange, collaboration, and action.

Founded in 1967, it is the only worldwide professional society representing and serving the broad area of public health, as distinct from single disciplines or occupations. The Federations’ members are national and regional public health associations, as well as regional associations of schools of public health presently numbering more than 70, representing more than 200.000 professionals.

Indian Public Health Association

The Indian Public Health Association (IPHA) is a public health professionals association established in 1956 that envisions the promotion, protection and attainment of an optimal standard of health for the people of India. It promotes better public health services and high professional standards through advocacy, professional competence and extensive networking. IPHA is committed to improve population health and environmental conditions in India through dedicated and active involvement of the organization and its members and through collaboration with stakeholders.
